Last Saturday, I attended the Mindful Self-Compassion Workshop at London Meditation. After exploring some issues with myself, I felt incredibly calm and relaxed and here is the recipe:
Have you ever wondered who to call for a problem? Do you wait to talk about a problem? Good news: if you are able to open up to yourself, you are not going to need anyone to experience release. Self-compassion is a gift we can give to ourselves everyday.
The only person who knows what you really feel underneath that facade is.... not your mum,... not your dog and not even your counsellor.... Only YOU know how you feel! Plus, you are the only person in your life who is available 24/7 to provide you with compassion, care and kindness.
Follow the instructions and ask yourself the following questions:
1. What do I feel? why don't I like myself in this situation? how would I look at this situation if it was happening to my best friend?
2. What would I say to my best friend if it was happening to him/her? how would I support him/her?
3. Am I the only person on earth to feel like this?
